- Exercise and Your Heart
Women should engage in a minimum of 30 minutes of aerobic activity (e.g., brisk walking) five days a week. Your heart is a muscle that becomes stronger and more efficient with exercise.

- Join the Illinois Women’s Health Registry
The purpose of the Illinois Women’s Health Registry is to improve researchers’ understanding of the status of women’s health in Illinois. Through this registry you may have the opportunity to participate in research that will advance knowledge for all women.
- Clinical Research Trials
The Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute is currently recruiting volunteers to participate in clinical research trials specific to their disease or condition. We also offer adult stem cell clinical research trials that seek to regenerate (repair and/or replace) damaged tissue in the body. Please consider volunteering in a clinical research trial, as your participation will contribute to important advancements of medical knowledge.
