If all of the shopping, wrapping, baking and fraternizing with family during the holidays drives you to drink, just hang on a couple of weeks longer – Brasserie Jo will hook you up. The French restaurant is pairing up with the Midwest’s DiVine Vodka to celebrate all things vodka Jan. 12 through Jan. 19. The highlight of the week is a Vodka 101 class on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. that costs only $1 to attend. Students will learn how to mix perfect vodka cocktails with Brasserie Jo sommelier Erin Phillips. The class includes instruction, samples and passed appetizers made with the celebrated alcohol. Reservations are required.
The rest of the week will feature a special cocktail menu with items like the Martini JO, made with DiVine vodka, a splash of Lillet Rouge and light zest of orange. There’s also “An American in Paris,” made with DiVine Vodka, a splash of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Artesia Sauvage, a spritz of orange flower water and a garnish of lime twist wrapped around an orange.
