Here's your chance to become a mall cop, just like Paul Blart! Blart is a character played by funnyman Kevin James in the upcoming movie "Paul Blart: Mall Cop".
In the movie, Paul is a single suburban dad trying to make a living as a security guard at a local mall. When a robbery shuts down the megaplex, Paul has to become a real cop and save the day.
On Tuesday, Chicagoans can learn the tricks of the trade of becoming a deputy mall cop. James will be on hand for the tryouts at the United Center.
Contestants will have to navigate the Mall Cop Obstacle Course, and if successful, they will get their very own "essential" Deputy Mall Cop gear -- a standard white shirt, necktie, wig, hat and mustache.
Blart ( James) will deputize the lucky winner who will have the honor of assisting Paul on the front lines of mall safety.
The event is designed to help promote the movie, which opens nationwide on January 16.
