A judge in central Illinois sentenced a father to 100 years in prison for neglecting his 5-month-old son, who died from an infection brought on by a nearly week-old dirty diaper CBS 2 reported.
James Shadid, 24, hadn’t changed his son’s diaper for five days and he wasn’t fed for three to four days before he was found.
The boy’s mother, 22-year-old Tracy Hermann, will stand trial in October.
