The Buzz: After finishing the term left after AJ Wilhelmi's resignation, Pat McGuire is running for a full term in the Illinois Senate.
In his tenure as senator, he co-sponsored SB3578, which he inherited from Wilhelmi. That bill deals with hospital service payments.
McGuire previously worked for 10 years as an English teacher. He also served on the Joliet Township High School District 204 Board of Education and as Will County treasurer.
