The Buzz: Fine is the clerk of Northfield Township and a political science instructor at Northeastern Illinois University. She formerly worked as producer, writer and anchor in both television and radio news.
If elected, Fine aims to work toward helping the environment, making legislators take a pay cuts and freezing rising property taxes.
Fine has no previous experience in politics but said that her personal experiences as an educator, mother and resident of the 17th District will serve her well in her campaign.
