Kirk Endorses Biggert in New Video

U.S. Senator Mark Kirk appeared in another video endorsement this week, but this time the candidate was DuPage Congresswoman Judy Biggert.

“Two years ago, the people of Illinois sent me to Washington, and I was honored to earn their trust and their vote,” Kirk stated in a press release Saturday. “Today, I’m urging the voters of the 11th District to support Judy Biggert, a good friend and an ally who will join me voting to spend less, and borrow less, and tax less, helping to fix our economy."

During the 30-second video, Kirk lauds the 7-term House member as someone who will fight for veterans and will continue to work hard for 11th Congressional District.

Unlike the video Kirk released earlier this week endorsing his Republican successor Rep. Bob Dold in the 10th Congressional District, this video did not have music playing over his voice. The senator's speech was clearer and showed his continued progress as he recovers from a stroke.

Biggert is in a tight race against Democratic challenger Bill Foster to represent the newly drawn district which includes parts of Aurora, Joliet and Naperville.

Here is the transcript of Kirk's endorsement:

Judy’s a hard worker, but she’s also a listener – and she’ll never forget that she’s working for her constituents. She’s one of the ultimate suburban moms, and she should be representing Illinois in Congress next year.

On Tuesday, I hope the voters of the 11th District will vote for Judy Biggert, someone I’m proud to call a friend – and someone they’ll be proud to call their Congresswoman.
