Spirit Airlines Offers “F-ing Golden” $17 Fares

The low-cost air carrier that had a bit of fun with a certain anatomically-named New York senator has turned its attention to Illinois' convicted former governor.

Rod Blagojevich was found guilty of attempting to sell President Barack Obama's vacated U.S. Senate seat, but Spirit Airlines says its guilty of selling "f-ing golden" airplane seats.

One-way seats to several destinations around the country are just $17 each way. That's a single buck for each guilty verdict that was returned Monday.

The fares must be booked by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday and are just for "$9 Fare Club" members, the airline said on its website.

Ironically, there are no flight to or from anywhere in Illinois.
