The Chicago Bears will be taking the field in the annual Hall of Fame Game on Thursday night, but it does not appear that their starting quarterback will be joining them.
Mitchell Trubisky, who is from Ohio, “probably” won’t play in the game in Canton against the Baltimore Ravens. Bears running back Jordan Howard, who said on NFL Network that he will not be playing in the game, said that the team’s quarterback likely won’t suit up in the annual exhibition.
After Tuesday’s practice in Bourbonnais, Bears head coach Matt Nagy declined to reveal who would be playing in the game, saying he had yet to talk to the team about the contest.
The game is the first preseason tilt of the summer for the Bears, who will see legendary linebacker Brian Urlacher inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday night.
