For the second consecutive week, the Chicago Bears will be without quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, as he has been officially ruled out with a shoulder injury.
Trubisky, who suffered the injury in the team’s Week 11 win over the Minnesota Vikings, also missed the Thanksgiving showdown with the Lions, and he will once again be on the shelf as the Bears look to move one step closer to a playoff berth.
Quarterback Chase Daniel will start in place of Trubisky for the second consecutive week. In his first start with the Bears, Daniel went 27-for-37 for 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Bears won 23-16 at Ford Field.
Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, who was hampered by an Achilles issue this week, will play for the Bears, as will defensive end Bilal Nichols. Tight end Adam Shaheen and linebacker Aaron Lynch, who both missed last week's game with concussions, will also suit up for the Bears.
Special teams stand-outs Sherrick McManis and Benny Cunningham were already ruled out for the Bears, as they didn't travel with the team to New York.
Wide receivers Kevin White and Javon Wims are both inactive for the Bears, as is lineman Rashaad Coward and Nick Williams.
The Bears will be looking for their sixth consecutive win when they take on the Giants. Kick-off is scheduled for noon.
