Chicago Bears Cut Hroniss Grasu, Report Says

Just one day after keeping him on their 53-man roster, it appears the Chicago Bears are moving on from center Hroniss Grasu.

According to multiple reports, including from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Bears will cut Grasu on Sunday.

Grasu, who was drafted by the Bears in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft, has appeared in 12 games with the team, but with James Daniels getting drafted and the team installing Cody Whitehair at center, it appeared that his days with the team were numbered.

It isn't clear which player will be placed on the 53-man roster to replace Grasu, but there is a possibility the move could pave the way for defensive end Khalil Mack to be activated after the Bears acquired the star pass rusher on Saturday.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, it is possible that the Bears could try to sign Grasu to their practice squad.
