Matt Forte's Jersey a Best-Seller in Wisconsin

The Green Bay Packers are the only NFL team in Wisconsin, but apparently they don’t have a monopoly on jersey sales, as a Chicago Bears player owns the most popular jersey in the state.

That player is Matt Forte, and according to data released by Dick’s Sporting Goods, he has the best-selling jersey in the state of Wisconsin so far in 2015. He beat out several excellent Packers player in the process, including Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson, and he also has the most popular jersey in Illinois for good measure, according to the retail chain.

Forte replaced Rodgers' jersey as the most popular in the state of Wisconsin, and he replaced Jay Cutler as Illinois' favorite as well:

“There must be a lot of Bears fans in Wisconsin,” Forte told reporters. “Either that, or they’re buying it to burn it or something. I don’t know.”

While fans in Wisconsin may appreciate the longevity of Forte’s career with the Bears (he joined the team in 2008), their purchases may become obsolete at the end of the NFL season: Forte is set to become a free agent at the end of the year.
