The "playground for grownups" is dead.

Martini Park, the River North restaurant/nightspot that catered to the mature crowd has closed its doors, according to Crain's blogger Shia Kapos.

Kapos also reported that the organization has also closed its Columbus, Ohio location.

The first sign of trouble may have been late last week when the restaurant mysteriously canceled its 50th anniversary Playboy party, previously scheduled for Thursday.

Martini Park also closed a similar facility in Plano, Texas last year because owner Chris Barish couldn't negotiate a new lease agreement.

Calls requesting comment were not immediately returned.
