It’s not everyday you have the chance to mingle with a design star, especially when that designer is responsible for dressing a wild child like Lady Gaga.
Famed hat designer Philip Treacy will make an appearance this Thursday May 20 from 12-2 p.m. at Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue. For those who haven’t heard of Treacy, his claim to fame is his handmade couture hats that have graced the heads of many celebs and have been featured in top design houses including Donna Karan, Chanel, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen,Valentino and Helmut Lang.
Madonna, Cher, Goldie Hawn and a liege of British royalty have all sported his creations. Philip's latest client is Lady Gaga, who worked with him to create her headpiece for the Grammys in addition to other future projects.
The event is open to the public and he’ll be showing off a limited selection of one-of-a-kind designs and a large selection of styles will be available for purchase. He’ll sign any hat you purchase that day.
Maybe you can even convince him to whip you up a gaga-inspired personal design, although good luck finding a place to wear that around here.
