    AFTER HOURS: Chicago-based national magazine Venus Zine presents After Hours at Beauty Bar with a DJ set by Scottish indie rock band Frightened Rabbit. The set kicks off a regular series at the new Chicago Avenue spot, and follows Frightened Rabbit's concert at Metro. 9 p.m., 1444 W. Chicago Ave. $5

    BAR CRAWLIN': The Cubs are out of town, but head up to Wrigleyville anyway for the "Cover Your Bases" bar crawl. Get a t-shirt with 10 circles for each of the baseball team positions, fill them all in and be a superstar amongst your friends.
