Hoops and Hops at Smoke Daddy

It's been a brutal couple of weeks without football, and baseball season is not yet in sight.  Thank goodness for March Madness to keep us all entertained and placing friendly wagers.  Get your brackets figured out now so you'll be prepared for ''Hoops and Hops'' at Smoke Daddy in Wicker Park. Especially if you're a Boilermaker fan, you won't want to miss the food and drink specials and all of the B-Ball action on three screens. Restaurant owner and former ''Purdue Pete'' mascot Josh Rutherford will be on hand to lead the Boilermaker cheers, so other Big 10 team fans, be prepared.

Enjoy the ''Boiler Burger,'' a $10 bacon cheeseburger with a choice of side: sweet potato fries, hand cut fries, smoked pit beans, coleslaw, cornbread, veggie of the day, homemade BBQ chips or mac-n-cheese.  For an order of ''Mackey's Mac and Cheese,'' it's $4, or opt for ''Purdue Pete's Pulled Pork Sandwich'' served with a choice of side for $8.50.  Throughout the tournament March 19-April 6 and beyond, all drafts are $3 on Mondays, Corona/Corona Light bottles are $2 and pulled meat nachos are $5 on Tuesdays, wings are half-price and Miller products are $2 on Wednesdays, and cheeseburgers are half-price on Thursdays.  During all NCAA tournament games, sip on $4 Bud light mugs and $7 imported mugs, both 22 ounces.
