Rednofive hosts an awards bash for the latest Chicago "Hair Wars" winners

It's hair today, gone tomorrow.
If you take hair as seriously as the contestants on Bravo's "Shear Genius," this is one awards ceremony you won't want to miss. Coif your 'do and get your fierce self over to Rednofive on Sunday, March 29 for the eighth annual "Hair Wars" awards bash, which will honor the three Chicago winners of the recent search to find the country's "Supreme Salon."
"Shear Genius" finalist Ben Mollin will host the festivities, which will also serve as a release party for the "Hair Wars" DVD, showcasing the competition that took place at Rednofive earlier this month. Ten Chicago salons battled it out in a catwalk contest featuring inventive hair creations from top stylists. The three winners, HairBorn Fashions, Bang Salon and Ambra Salon and European Spa, will be honored on Sunday and will once again show off their victorious looks in a runway show featuring UR Supermodels. All three salons now advance to the national competition in Las Vegas this fall, where they will compete for the title of "Supreme Salon."
Doors open at 9PM for the "Hair Wars" awards ceremony and DVD release party, and a hosted Belvedere vodka reception takes place from 9-10PM. Celebrity guests will include Steven Rosengard of "Project Runway" fame, Blanca Delgado from America's Beauty Show and fashion photographer David Anthony, who will display his images taken of the winning salons throughout Rednofive. Guests can have their glamour shot taken by local photographer Goykphoto, as well as witness a live airbrush makeup application by Airbrush Academy. Gift bags containing samples from the party's sponsors, including Joico, Caboodles and Mario Ink, as well as the "Hair Wars" DVD, will help guests relive the night's hair-raising events at home.
