Hyde Park is much more than the neighborhood that nurtured a president. Places like the University of Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry help make it one of the most diverse and cultural enclaves in Chicago. Stroll down 53rd Street and eat well, shop to your heart’s content, or simply gaze at some of the most architecturally beautiful homes in the city. It’s a land of free thinkers with a spirit of activism, so it's no surprise that the seeds for change that energized an entire country were rooted here.

It's quite a sad place, actually. ... MORE > Sunday, Dec 12 at 5:58 PM
