Here's a chance to put down your phone and actually -- you know, talk to someone.

Morton's The Steakhouse is an old-school restaurant, one of the pioneers in the industry, but their approach to social media is anything but old school.

On Wednesday, the original Morton's on State Street is hosting the Chicago Social Media TweetUp.

"It's a great way to get a lot of people together; those already tapped into these online media outlets as well as folks who are interested in learning more," says Catherine Merritt, Morton's PR coordinator.

The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and Morton's will be offering samples from its Bar Bites menu, along with with wine, spirits and beers specials for between $4 - $7.

More information can be found on Morton's Twitter account, and we know what you're thinking -- all conversations at this event will not be limited to 140 characters or less.
