A recent survey found 80% of married couples spend money without their spouses knowing. Another 25% rack up debt on credit cards that their spouses have no idea they have. The news comes as consumers reduce their number of credit cards and debt.

3) Beauty/personal care items
4) Gifts
5) Alcohol
Chicago residents have on average 3.31 open credit cards with an average balance of $6,182.
