Chicago Restaurant Week

The 4th annual event kicks off Friday.

If you've ever wanted to hit up one of those ritzy restaurants around the Chicagoland area, but didn't have the cash to carry you, now is your opportunity.
Chicago Restaurant Week kicks off Friday, February 18 and continues through Sunday, February 27.
Restaurants throughout the area are offering meals at fixed prices, excluding drinks, tax and tip. More than two dozen of the 200 restaurants are joining the event for the first time.
Last year's restaurant week proved highly successful.
The Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau, the organization that produces the event, says 335,000 diners spent $11.6 million dollars.
A special additive to this year's Restaurant Week includes its Champagne First promotion. Select restaurants are offering diners just what the promotion suggests, the chance to start out the meal with Champagne.
If you're planning to try out a participating restaurant, you're urged to make a reservation.
