Supplies will benefit four community programs

NBC 5 Back to School Drive

Back packs are zipped, pencils are sharpened, and the perfect first day outfit has been chosen.


You know what that means—kids are heading back to school!


We’re kicking off back to school season with our annual Back to School Supply Drive!  With your help, we can provide for students in need.  On Wednesday, August 17 you can drop off school supplies from 4:30-7 am on the NBC 5 Plaza.  All supplies will be donated to Aspire, buildOn, Lawrence Hall Youth Services and the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance.


Supplies needed:

Colored markers

Scissors

Construction paper/colored printer paper

Poster board

Pencils / Pens (especially pens)

Sharpie markers

Glue sticks

Computer paper

Dry Erase Markers

Small Dry Erase board

Grid Paper

Paper towels

Tissues

 

Aspire’s Wish List:

·         40 1-inch, three-ring binders (used for making communication books for individual children)

·         12 blunt-tipped scissors

·         20 pocket folders

·         8-packs of thin crayons

·         8-packs of thick markers

·         8-packs of thin markers

·         Dry-erase markers

·         Crayola Window markers

·         2 packages of mechanical pencils

·         No. 2 pencils

·         10 Packages of construction paper

·         10 packages of wide-ruled notebook paper

·         2 reams of multi-colored printer paper

·         Elmer’s glue

·         Glue sticks

·         Ziploc bags, sandwich and gallon sizes

·         Zipper or box style pencil cases

·         Sanitizer wipes (like Clorox) for surfaces

·         Diaper/skin wipes for hands

·         Glitter glue

·         Stickers of any kind
