You have to see it to believe it!  Newly released police dash camera video shows the end of a police chase on Interstate 95 in Branford Wednesday.

The stolen boat swerves all over the highway before falling off the trailer and smashing into the road.

The chase started at the Diamond Marine Boat Dealer in East Haven.  It ended just before exit 57 in Branford.  The runaway Whaler finally tipped over, blocking traffic and causing quite a jam on the Interstate.

Amazingly, no one was hurt.

Police say the guy behind the daring stunt is Patrick Holland, 38, of East Haven.  They say he hooked up the boat’s trailer to his pickup truck and took off in broad daylight.

The 32-foot Boston Whaler is back at the Diamond Marine.  The gouges, cracks and splinters from the crash mark its wild ride out of water.

Holland has been charged with larceny and reckless endangerment.  He’s being held on a $100,000 bond.
