    Mosop took first place in the 2011 Chicago Marathon, setting a course record with a finish time of 2:05.37. He finished second in the Boston Marathon the same year, clocking in his personal best with 2:03.06.

    Details: The long- and middle-distance runner is considered one of the fastest marathon competitors even though he never ran a marathon before competing in Boston in 2011. The World Marathon Majors reports Mosop's best half-marathon time was recorded in 2010 in Milan at 59:20. He competed at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and finished seventh in the 10,000 meter.
