The White Sox young guns are making some noise.

Tyler Flowers and Dayan Viciendo drove in all of the runs as the Sox topped their division rival Minnesota Twins 3-0 in the first of a three-game series.

Grizzled veteran Mark Buerhle picked up the win.

Most importantly, the Detroit Tigers lost 9-5 to the Kansas City Royals, leaving the Sox 5 games back in the division.

The Sox have won four games in a row, and four straight games against their usual nemesis, the Twins.

The South Siders are heating up at the right time, with series scheduled against the Tiger and the Indians over the next week.
