Waiting in line for shakes and hotdogs at Portillo’s is now a thing of the past.
The Chicago favorite launched an app this week that allows customers to put in their order ahead of time so that the food will be ready at the counter or drive-thru for pickup.
Available for iOS or Android smartphone/tablet, the app will still resemble the abbreviated style of ordering.
Portillo’s is offering diners who use the new service $5 off their meal (of $15 or more) by using promo code “HOTDOG.”
In addition, those who download the app before the end of August will be entered into a contest to win free Portillo’s for an entire year.
