Police are warning residents in a southern Illinois county about a suspect threatening people with a double barrel shotgun.
Illinois State Police and the Massac County Sheriff’s Department have told residents in the Brookport, Unionville, Mt. Sterling and Hamletsburg areas of the county to lock their doors and stay inside if they see the armed and dangerous man in their neighborhood.
The man is described as being about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds. He is wearing a grey camo and shorts, police said.
Anyone who sees the man is being told to call 911 immediately.
