Reward Offered in Noble Horse Theatre Fire

The Feb. 6 fire at the Noble Horse Theatre destroyed several carriages worth about $130,000

The FBI on Tuesday announced a $5,000 reward for information in the case of an arson fire that destroyed 13 horse-drawn carriages on Chicago's North Side.

The Feb. 6 fire at the Noble Horse Theatre destroyed several carriages worth about $130,000. There was also significant damage to the building.

Investigators said fires were intentionally set in two separate horse carriage storage areas. Authorities say graffiti affiliated with the animal rights movement was found saying "Save the Horses" and "Freedom."

The facility's manager, Danny Sugrue, said there was no replacement insurance for the antique replica carriages and that the company would have to eat the cost.

Anyone with information is asked to contact local police or the FBI's Chicago office at 312-421-6700.

There was a another fire at the facility in September 2013.
