3 Shot at Party on Chicago's South Side

Shots fired at about 1:30 a.m. inside home on the 7300 block of South Champlain Avenue

Three men were shot early Friday while attending a party in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on Chicago's South Side, police said.

The melee went down at about 1:30 a.m. on the 7300 block of South Champlain Avenue when two men walked into the residence and opened fire, police said. Three were hit by bullets.

One man, 28, was shot in the left leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Another man, also 28, was shot in the abdomen and taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The third man, 31, was shot in the buttocks and left knee and was also taken to Stroger Hospital, police said.

The conditions of the three had stabilized early Friday.
