Police: Gang Member Wounded in Lakeview Shooting

A man who Chicago police said is a documented gang member was wounded in a shooting in the city's Lakeview neighborhood early Monday morning.

The 21-year-old man was on the 3100 block of North Sheffield Avenue just before 2 a.m. when someone shot at him.

The victim was hit in the lower left forearm and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.

Police said the shooting was not related to the revelry surrounding the 45th annual gay pride parade, which snaked through the neighborhood earlier in the day.
