Somebody get Pat Quinn some coffee.

In a video uploaded to Democratic primary challenger Dan Hynes' YouTube account, the Illinois governor apparently struggles to stay awake during a health care debate Wednesday afternoon.

As a woman recounted a story about how her pregnant daughter-in-law died because she lacked health care, Quinn's eyelids flutter and his head droops. Once, he drops his pen.

Quinn denies his eyes were closed.

"I was taking notes, not sleeping," says Quinn, adding that the Hynes camp's video is a sign of desperation. "He who slings mud is losing ground."

Hynes is also visible in the video, looking wide awake.

In response, the Quinn campaign released its own video showing the governor praising Midge Hough, the woman whose daughter-in-law died.
