Two people were killed when a car veered off Interstate 90 near Barrington and struck a light pole Sunday morning, police said.
A silver Toyota Corolla was traveling west when the driver lost control and hit a pole around 7:45 a.m. at Barrington Road, Illinois State Police said in a statement. The vehicle landed on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and the names of the victims have not yet been released.
