The bust turned up drugs, guns and six pit bulls

Chicago police made a major gang bust this week on the city's northwest side.

Ten suspected Latin King gang members were arrested on the 1600 block of North Spaulding Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Seven men and three teens were charged as a result of a two-month long investigation into gang and narcotics in the area, according to police.

During the investigation, Chicago police made several controlled drug purchases under surveillance within 1,000 feet of a school in the area, the Tribune reports.
