A U.S. judge says Oprah Winfrey must defend a defamation suit in a Philadelphia court lodged by an ex-headmistress at her girl's school in South Africa.

As if anyone needed confirmation about how Oprah Winfrey feels about Kitty Kelley’s recently released biography about her, the talk show queen confirmed her displeasure Monday night at The New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards.

Winfrey was at the event to present pal – and rumored paramour – Gayle King with an award, according to People.com.

During the presentation Winfrey said the “so called biography” caused King quite a bit of grief because King "sometimes cares about my life more than I do."

"Gayle got herself worked out with all my new daddies coming out," Winfrey said, referring to a passage in the book that suggest Vernon Winfrey is not her biological father.

Winfrey told the audience at the event despite the book’s popularity that “this too shall pass.”
