Man Uses Jail Call to Threaten Wife

Says he'll kill her when he gets out of jail

A suburban man arrested for assaulting used his one jailhouse phone call to send a message to the woman who put him there.

Janusz Owca called his wife and threaten to kill her, according to the Sun-Times.

The 32-year-old Maine Township man is facing charges of aggravated domestic battery and felony intimidation.

His wife told police Owca came home drunk Sunday evening and pulled her hair and choked her, according to the Sun-Times.  When he got to the lockup he made the call, warning his wife he would kill her when he got out of jail, sheriff's police said.
