A man died after being pulled from a pond in Aurora, city officials said.
A 911 call was placed after a car plunged into a a large retention pond at Tara Belle Pkwy and Normantown Rd., according to Dan Ferrelli, the city of Aurora's director of public information.
The city’s diver team recovered an adult male from the pond about 35 yards off-shore, Ferrelli said. The man is now deceased.
The vehicle was located but is still in the water.
Recovery efforts and the search for more possible victims in the incident continues.
