Man Arrested for Threats at Children's Summer Camp in Wisconsin

Madison police have arrested a man who authorities say threatened staff at the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County during a children's summer camp.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports the 44-year-old Madison man was arrested Wednesday after people outside the building hailed a police officer.

A Madison Police Department spokesman says about 100 children were attending summer camp at the Boys and Girls Club when the man entered the building and angrily addressed the staff.

The man fled on a moped and was arrested in a nearby park. Police did not describe the nature of the alleged threats.

Police say the man faces potential disorderly conduct charges. The arresting officer is asking that the man be banned from the Boys and Girls Club as a condition of his bail.
