Man, 22, Shot in Head During Party in Suburban Aurora

Witnesses told police the disturbance originated at a party thrown at a business in the same block where the shooting happened

A 22-year-old Plainfield man was shot in the head during a party in west suburban Aurora early Saturday morning.

Aurora Police responded to a call of a disturbance in the 600 block of North Lake Street at about 12:45 a.m. and found the man lying in the middle of Illinois Avenue at the intersection with Lake Street. The man was unconscious with a gunshot wound to his head, police said.

The man was transported to an area hospital and later transferred to another suburban hospital, according to police. He was listed in critical condition Sunday morning

No one is in custody for the incident, and Aurora Police are continuing the investigation.
