Walter Payton’s son Jarrett may not have the same running chops as his old man, but on the mic, he's just as sweet as dad was.

The younger Payton recently released a song titled “Loves,” that pays homage to his late father in advance of the 10th anniversary of his death.

“Forever/ I will be remembered/ As the son of a great ... As a little kid/ Had to run up the hill/ Like my father did/ That's why he just started him/ and now I just gotta be just a part of him,” the song goes.

Jarrett, who was recently let go from the CFL’s Argonauts, is looking for a producer to help him take the album to a mainstream audience, the Sun-Times reports.
