A man who had an illegal party in a shuddered West Side church with a DJ and strippers was locked up two nights in a row, police said.
Early Saturday police responded to a call of a fight on the street, at 4701 W. Washington , according to a Harrison District police lieutenant.
When police broke up the fight and used pepper spray or a Taser to control some the suspects, the officers realized the group had “poured out” of an illegal party at a closed down church at the Washington address, according to the lieutenant.
When they found the party’s host didn’t have the proper licenses to have entertainment such as a DJ and strippers and there was a cover charge to get in, 41-year-old Tony R. Jordan was arrested, according to the lieutenant.
Jordan was cited with having no liquor license, no business license, and no public place of amusement license, all of which are municipal code violations, the lieutenant said.
Jordan, who resides on Drake Avenue in southwest suburban Bolingbrook, had another similar party early Sunday at the same church, but there were no strippers.
So Jordan was arrested again and charged with having no business license and no public place of amusement license, according to t lieutenant.
Jordan was scheduled to appear in court Sunday on the violations.
