A new report finds home foreclosures are on the rise in Illinois.

The state saw 10,574 foreclosure filings last month, more than 5 percent compared to the previous month.

Illinois ranks the ninth-highest in the nation, according to RealtyTrac, an online marketplace for foreclosure properties.

Filings including default notices, auction-sale notices and bank repossessions represent one in every 500 housing units in the state.

Nevada continued to have the nation's highest foreclosure rate with one in every 103 housing units.
