An elderly couple was killed Saturday in a crash on northbound I-355 in Will County.

The crash occurred at 3 p.m. Saturday at milepost 13.5 near Boughton Road when a silver Toyota Tundra struck a red Ford Taurus that was facing westbound in the northbound lanes, according to Illinois State Police.

The driver and passenger of one vehicle, Daniel Simone, 87, and his 91-year-old wife Dimple Simone, were killed in the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle, Evan Collins, was transported to an area hospital. His condition was not known.
