FBI Joins Search for Chicago Fugitive

Authorities ask the public for information

The FBI has joined the Chicago police in a nationwide search for a fugitive who allegedly killed a man on the South Side during a card game in March.

Gregory Haynes Jr., 26, has been linked to the murder of Terrell Thomas and was charged with first-degree murder in Cook County Circuit Court, according to authorities.

Witnesses say Haynes may have fled the state in May to avoid prosecution.

Authorities are asking the public for help in finding Haynes. He is African-American, 5-feet-11-inches, and approximately 180 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and several tattoos, including praying hands on his left chest and a long tattoo on his left forearm. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Chicago FBI at 312-421-6700.
