    According to the Chicago Tribune, the city's Landmarks Commission has approved a plan that would allow the Chicago Cubs to double the amount of advertising inside the iconic stadium.

    Documents show the Cubs would be able to place ads on the center field scoreboard clock and along the fencing on top of the outfield wall.

    The team could place up to 45,000 square feet of additional signage inside the stadium, although team officials say the team may not use all of it.

    The new signs would have to conform to certain guidelines in order to be placed on areas designated historical lankmarks.

    The plan to add two video scoreboards inside the stadium will be discussed at meeting Thursday, and the entire plan will go before the commission next week.
