A 911 address mix-up may possibly be to blame for the death of six-year-old Ian Uro. Uro was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:45 a.m. when he was taken to the emergency room of the Beth Israel Medical Center.

Eleven people have been hospitalized after two separate accidents took place on the Dan Ryan Expressway Sunday morning.

Just after 9:00 a.m., a crash involving nine vehicles occurred between the local and express lanes near 26th Street, according to an Illinois State Police District Chicago Trooper.

Six people were taken to area hospitals, five in fair condition and one in good condition, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis.

Nine others declined medical attention, Curtis said.

Less than an hour prior to that accident, a separate crash occurred in the express lanes near 33rd Street, according to the Trooper.

Five people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, Curtis said.

As of 9:40 a.m., the wreckage has been moved off of the expressway and all lanes are open.
