Police knew all five cases were related because they all had the same DNA.

An anonymous tip and DNA evidence led police to arrest and question a suspect in the slaying of three women in the Roseland neighborhoods, police say.

Police say the suspect's DNA matches DNA found on all three of the women, who were found strangled in abandoned buildings.

The Roseland killings were one of the most prominent crime stories last year in Chicago.
