Men Suspected in More Than 30 Suburban Burglaries Arrested: Cops

Police believe two men arrested this week may be responsible for more than 30 burglaries in three suburban counties.

The two men were arrested Tuesday by the Will County Sheriff’s office and an investigation has implicated them in burglaries in Kankakee, Will and Livingston counties, according to authorities.

Investigators believe other arrests are likely in the case as they continue to identify all of the burglary sites and conduct an inventory of recovered property.

The two men, who are 22 and 24 years old, may have been involved in more than 30 burglaries, according to the Kankakee County Sheriff’s office.

Police said an investigation is ongoing and detective will contact known victims in the “near future.”

“I cannot over-emphasize the contributions of the public in providing bits and pieces of information which allowed analysts to connect-the-dots that ultimately pointed investigators to those involved in the numerous burglaries in the three county area,” Sheriff Tim Bukowski said in a statement.

The men were being held in Will County pending a court hearing. It was not immediately clear if charges had been filed.
