Cops: 4 Dead in Murder-Suicide

Four people from suburban Addison were found dead in their home Wednesday morning in what police are calling a murder-suicide.

The victims include two young boys.

The police response was prompted after a frantic call to 911 from a woman inside the home in the 200 block of South Wisconsin Avenue.  Inside, they found four bodies, believed to be a mother, father and their two children.

Shell casings were also found inside the home.

Addison Police Chief Tim Hayden didn't release the names of the deceased -- identification is made through the coroner's office -- but said "most likely they are the family that lived at the residence."

Neighbors say the family has lived in the quiet neighborhood for a long time and that there were never any problems with them.

A friend of the family said the father coached a youth baseball team, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Addison police spokeswoman Officer Megan Freeman said residents in the area should not be worried about further acts of violence in the area.

"Preliminary investigation indicates this was not a random act of violence, but an isolated incident at this location," she said.
