Body Pulled from Lake in Edgewater



    Crews recover a body found near this rock wall at Thorndale in Lake Michigan.

    A man’s body was pulled from Lake Michigan in the North Side Edgewater neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

    Police were notified about 12:49 p.m. that someone had discovered a body in the water at Thorndale and the lake, near some rocks, according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.

    The body appeared to be that of a male, Mirabelli said.

    According to unconfirmed dispatch reports, the man did not appear to have been in the water for a long time.

    Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
