All-Star Game Could Come to Wrigley Soon: Report

An MLB All-Star game coming soon to Wrigley Field isn’t out of the question, the league’s commissioner says, according to a report.

Commissioner Rob Mandfred said Monday that Chicago and its Wrigley Field would be a “great site for an All-Star Game,” the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.

“There will be an All-Star Game in Wrigley Field in the relatively near future,” the newspaper reports Mandfred as saying.

The North Side ballpark hasn’t hosted an All-Star Game since 1990.

Mandfred acknowledged there are other cities to consider for the honor—but “Chicago will be in the mix.”
